Here is a blog of a friend of mine who was living in the same city that I was in while on the JET Program. She was a new ALT when I originally wrote this entry, and had posted a lot of interesting photos and stories about living in Japan.
She had a very fresh perspective to her writing and her blog. She posted about things that I took for granted at that point in my "Japan career," but I liked her entry about the Japanese appliances in her house and what it is like to function in her everyday life.
Here is the link to her blog: http://gettingalifeabroad.wordpress.com/

Working from Home
Good morning, and happy day!
To all of the experienced professionals who work from home, or have their own business and function primarily out of a home office,
I have one main question for you, and this is:
How do you do it?
I have read a few articles on the subject so far, but wanted to hear directly from the people who are doing it, and doing it well! What is your routine? What does your home office look like? What tricks do you use to effectively stay on task and accomplish what you've set out to do? What kind of setbacks do you come across and how do you overcome them? What advice can you give to other bloggers and professionals who do the majority of their work from home?
Please share your stories, pictures, books, articles, and other general advice!
