Here is a blog of a friend of mine who was living in the same city that I was in while on the JET Program. She was a new ALT when I originally wrote this entry, and had posted a lot of interesting photos and stories about living in Japan.
She had a very fresh perspective to her writing and her blog. She posted about things that I took for granted at that point in my "Japan career," but I liked her entry about the Japanese appliances in her house and what it is like to function in her everyday life.

Moving to Brooklyn!
As I did for when I moved to Japan, I decided to post pictures of my future apartment! After a month of searching, we've finally signed the papers for an apartment in Kensington, Brooklyn. The lease is for a year but hopefully it will be a good apartment and we'll end up staying longer.
The plan is to move in on March 1st and iron things out as we go. I've called the super and am picking up the keys tomorrow morning. That makes it feel even more official than signing the lease!

Before, this blog was dedicated mostly to my life in Japan. Seeing as how I no longer live in Japan but I don't want to stop posting on the blog (just as I'm about to have more time to do so) I think I'll now dedicate it to my new life in NYC. Hopefully I'll be able to post reviews, photos, excursions, things to do and see, and just write about what it's like.
I thank you for keeping up with me this far, and hope that there will be some fun things on here worth following in the weeks to come!

Art on the Streets
A short slideshow of some places that I've seen here in Santiago.
These are the coolest park benches. I'm pretty sure I'm an artist at heart. Perhaps I should just find my medium.
