Originally from Croton-on-Hudson, New York, I graduated from Denison University in Granville, OH in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in East Asian Studies, and a focus on Japanese culture and language. I spent a full year abroad from 2008-2009 as an exchange student at Waseda University in Tokyo. After graduation I returned to Japan on The JET Program(me) as an Assistant Language Teacher for two years in Yamanashi-ken. Soon after JET I finally made my way back to New York to pursue Intercultural Consulting between Japanese and U.S. communities and businesses. During that time I helped Japanese executives and management assimilate into American business culture. Eventually, these experiences led me to my current role as a Development Associate at Japan Society.
