Pictures of Nagoya and snow

Green tea and mochi parfe/sunde!
 Eating out with Megan:
Chocolate parfe/sunde!
 Looking outside my window:
The first "real" snow in Isawa
On the way to Nagoya (city):
...and in the mountains
 In Nagoya City!
A Ferris wheel in the middle of the city!

One of our first pictures at the castle.

This is the man who "motivated" the "workers" to lift and move the big blocks/boulders required for building the base of the castle.

Nagoya Jyo!

These are some characters/mascots for the castle.  They were famous enough to have their picture on the side of the subway car, but I doubt anyone outside of Nagoya knows who they are.

A view from the top.

New and Old Japan.

Why are they so wiggly?

Very old tree.

A marriage was taking place the day we went to see the shrine.

There is a sacred sword kept here, but no one is allowed to see it.
