I was right!

As I once thought, it turns out I can see Mt. Fuji from my apartment!  It's only the tippy top, but it's quite pretty.

Can you see it?

Yep...

There it is!

Also, today I went into a home-goods store to get some insulating materials.  I had forgotten that they had dogs there, so I unexpectedly walked into the pet/supply section.  I walked by the cages and was doing a really good job walking past as quickly as possible.  "I don't need a dog.  I don't need a dog.  I don't need a dog." I said to myself as I looked at the prices, and thought about how much work and money it would cost.  Then I turned around and there was a little puppy sitting in a pen to be played with.  He was preoccupied with eating a stuffed toy when I gave in, and squatted down next to it to play.  The sign said something about being careful because he would nibble.  He was pretty hyper, and soon started eating my scarf so the store clerk came over and said, "Are you ok?"
I was fine, but at this point, after thinking about dogs (my dog passed away last month...) and being confronted by the store clerk, I started to feel emotional.  So I walked away quickly and got teary eyed in the home-goods store.  It was probably a combination of things.  The feelings died away quickly though, and I realized that it always seems to be in stores that I get the most frustrated.  I either can't find what I'm looking for, don't know what it's called, or get to the right section and there are 100 different types of the same thing and I can't read the differences on any of the boxes or packages.  This is getting better with time however, so I assume I'll be just fine in no time.

Last week I attended the local speech contest that two of my students were in.  The third year student (9th grader) won second place in her group, and the second year (9th grader) didn't place.  She improved significantly from the time we began practicing though, so I was very proud of them both.

I also thought it would be fun to show my McCafé.  It was "FULL OF BEANS!" :)

Love and Hugs ♥♡
